• January 18, 2008 The Union: Buildings receive Gold City Awards
"It took more than six years for business partners Pieter Rossi and Bob Zucca to realize their dream: A building for their growing business that offered architectural innovation but still fit into Grass Valley's historic character, taking advantage of heritage oak trees and a forested setting on the property on Sierra College Drive."
"The building that captured that vision was completed last year. This week, the new home of BP Landscapes was among six buildings to earn Grass Valley's biannual Gold City Awards for outstanding design in recent construction or renovation that retains the town's historic flavor."
"At 420 Sierra College Dr., the building's two entry towers form a backdrop to an enormous oak at the front of the property, while a fountain of twin stones softens the modern architecture that evokes Federal themes."
"Local architect Tony Rosas 'captured our vision' for the property, Rossi said Thursday."
• January 4, 2008 The Union: 'G' FOR GONE
"Some Nevada County contractors are upset with Sierra College for handing its multi-million dollar construction project at the Grass Valley campus to Turner Construction Co. instead of them."
"There were no guarantees that the project would stay local, but we had verbal assurance ... that local business associations of Nevada County were going to get contracts to keep the local taxpayer dollars local," said Pieter Rossi, a board member with the Nevada County Contractors Association and co-owner of BP Landscapes in Grass Valley."
• February 21, 2006 The Union: Construction update
"New headquarters for BP Landscapes, a Nevada County-owned landscaping business that employs 45 people, is slated to be completed by Aug. 1, said co-owner Pieter Rossi."
"BP Landscape was founded 17 years ago by Rossi and Robert Zucca and the company presently occupies a building on Sutton Way. Rossi said limited space in that building forced them to find a larger headquarters."
" 'It is really just a space issue. We had to share a conference room; having staff meetings was difficult there. We had to do it off-site,' he said."

• Sep 13, 2003 The Union Home Section: Defining a home's entry: where First Impressions count, by Andrew Wright
"Our work was complemented by a beautiful landscape design and installation by BP Landscapes. We coordinated our efforts, so that when the porch and entry structure was completed, they began installing hardscape. The concrete finish was a colored surface accented with a rock salt finish, which gives a speckled effect."
